I've been called a "snowflake" for years, because of my liberal outlook. The label was meant as an insult, but I'm proud of it today. I wrote this song to remind myself that snow is a powerful force.

"Snowflake"
Words and music by Daniel Cartier
Daniel J Cartier Music (SESAC)

You call me a snowflake
You say that I’m spineless
Well, let me tell you something about snow
Cause I see you laughing

Your eyes are rolling
Guess there’s lots about snow

you don’t know

Snow can stop traffic
And dig out canyons
It can raise the level of a raging sea
So I’m gonna’ thank you
for calling me a snowflake
I guess it means you see

the power of snow in me

Life is relentless
With so many opinions
So many people wanting the last word
Well, bless your heart for trying

to shut me down
But this snowflake’s gonna’ be heard

Cause snow can stop traffic
and dig out canyons
It can raise the level of a raging sea
So I’m gonna’ thank you

for calling me a snowflake
I guess it means you see

the power of snow in me

You call me a snowflake
and think I’ll melt away
Well, let me you something about snow

Snow can stop traffic

and dig out canyons
It can raise the level of a raging sea
So I’m gonna’ thank you

for calling me a snowflake
I guess it means you see my power
Cause snow can move mountains
And create valleys
It can cover over everything we see
So I’m gonna thank you

for calling me a snowflake
And reminding me

I got the power of snow in me

Calling all my snowflakes
Calling all my snowflakes
It’s time
It’s time
It’s time

Calling all my snowflakes
Calling all my snowflakes
It’s time to snow
